For this bespoke custom bedroom interior project at The Jimbaran Hills, Bali Interio collaborated closely with GFAB Architect to manufacture a striking bed system that combines contemporary elegance with the warmth of natural tropical materials.
We specifically designed this custom wood bed frame for a spacious 6 x 7-meter master suite. It immediately commands attention as the room’s focal point, introducing a sophisticated floating effect that enhances the spatial openness while anchoring the villa’s “Modern Natural” aesthetic.
Our engineering team created a striking floating illusion by completely concealing the heavy-duty support structure beneath the bed frame. This bespoke custom bedroom furniture visually hovers above the floor, giving the room a lighter, much more spacious feel without sacrificing an ounce of structural integrity.
This gravity-defying effect contributes heavily to the modern character of the interior. We introduced visual sophistication through perfect architectural proportions rather than excessive decoration, allowing the raw beauty of the materials to take center stage.
To deliver immediate “textural luxury” and visual warmth, we integrated premium fabric upholstery directly into the padded headboard. This soft finish enhances everyday comfort while making the large bedroom feel significantly more intimate and inviting.
To complement these soft elements, we applied Grade A natural teak veneer across the bed frame. The rich wood grains and organic tones introduce timeless character, creating a perfectly balanced contrast against the sharp contemporary architecture of the Jimbaran villa.
To boldly emphasize the floating illusion, we integrated sharp black painted kickboards at the hidden base of the structure. This dark contrast grounds the design and creates deep visual shadows.
Together, the natural teak veneer, plush upholstered fabrics, and dark modern accents create a highly sophisticated and harmonious palette. Each material works actively with the others to elevate the Modern Natural design language.
